Steps to Set Up and Customize the Wishlist Feature.

Adding the Wishlist Page

Steps:

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Pages.

2. Click Add Page and title it Wishlist.

3. In the Theme template dropdown, select wishlist and click Save.

Manually linking the Wishlist Page in the Header

If you change the Wishlist page name or encounter issues with linking it in the header, you can manually set the link.

Steps:

1. Go to Theme settings > Wishlist.

2. Under Wishlist counter link page, click Select page and choose the page you created with the wishlist template.

3. When finished, click Save to apply the changes.

Wishlist on Product Pages

Steps:

1. In the theme editor, navigate to a Product page.

2. In the left sidebar, select the Product information section.

3. Look for the Wishlist block and ensure it’s enabled.

4. Customize the Add to wishlist text and In wishlist text if required.

5. Click Save to apply changes.

Enable Wishlist on Collection Sections

Steps:

1. In your theme editor, go to Theme settings > Wishlist.

2. Ensure Enable wishlist feature on product collection pages and sections is checked.

3. Click Save to apply changes.

4. On front end ensure the heart icon is visible on product card on hover.

Wishlist settings

Steps:

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Customize to open the theme editor.

2. In your theme editor, go to Theme settings > Wishlist.

3. Enable the following options as needed:

   • Enable wishlist to activate the wishlist feature across the store.

   • Show wishlist counter in header to display the wishlist counter in the header.

   • Show wishlist counter in menu drawer to show the wishlist counter in the mobile menu drawer.

4. Customize the following fields:

   • Wishlist drawer menu text: Enter the label for the wishlist option in the menu drawer.

   • Wishlist counter link page: Select the wishlist page from the Select page dropdown to ensure proper linking in the header and menu.

   • Enable wishlist feature on product collection pages and sections to allow customers to add items directly from collection pages.

5. Set a Maximum number of wishlist items by adjusting the slider or entering a number.

6. Customize notification messages as needed:

   • Success message: Message shown when an item is added to the wishlist.

   • Removal message: Message displayed when an item is removed from the wishlist.

   • Wishlist full message: Message shown when the maximum item limit is reached.

7. Once all settings are configured, click Save to apply changes.
