Footer Setup
Configure your store’s footer by adding elements to each column for a professional and organized look.
1. Footer General Settings
To customize the overall appearance and functionality of the footer:
Steps:
Open Theme Editor In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Customize to open the theme editor.
Access the Footer Section In the left sidebar, locate the Footer section.
Configure the Following Options:
Color Scheme Select a color scheme for the footer that aligns with your theme’s branding. You can adjust this further under theme settings for consistent site-wide colors.
Heading Text Uppercase Enable this option to display footer headings in uppercase for a polished look.
Align Content to Center on Mobile Check this option to center-align footer content on mobile devices for a balanced layout.
Email Signup Enable Show email signup to add an email subscription field in the footer. Enter a Heading (e.g., “Subscribe to our emails”) to prompt visitors to join your mailing list.
Follow on Shop If you want to allow customers to follow your store on the Shop app, enable Follow on Shop. Note that Shop Pay must be enabled for this feature.
Social Media Icons Enable Show social media icons to display social media links in the footer. Make sure you’ve connected your social media profiles in theme settings.
Social Icons Color Scheme Choose a color scheme specifically for the social media icons in the footer.
Spacing and Section Padding
Top Margin: Adjust the space above the footer to suit the layout of your page.
Section Padding: Use sliders to adjust the Top padding and Bottom padding of the footer.
Subfooter Section Customize the color scheme and padding for the sub-footer area, which typically includes copyright text, payment icons, and policy links.
Color Scheme: Select a color scheme for the subfooter area.
Text Uppercase: Enable this option to display subfooter text in uppercase.
Country/Region Selector Enable this setting to add a country or region selector in the footer. To configure available regions, go to market settings.
Language Selector Enable this option to include a language selector in the footer. Configure available languages in language settings.
Payment Methods and Policy Links
Show Payment Icons: Display icons of accepted payment methods in the footer.
Show Policy Links: Display links to store policies like Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Configure policies in policy settings.
Subfooter Padding
Top Padding: Adjust the top padding for the subfooter.
Bottom Padding: Adjust the bottom padding for the subfooter.
Save Changes Once you’ve configured all footer settings, click Save to apply the changes.
2. Footer Sections: Logo
Steps:
Locate the Image block in the Footer section.
If it’s not present, click Add block and select Image.
Select Choose image and upload your logo or submark.
Adjust the Image width to fit the design.
Set the Image alignment (Left, Center, or Right) as needed.
Click Save to apply changes.
3. Footer Sections: Menu
Steps:
Locate the Menu block in the Footer section.
If it’s not present, click Add block and select Menu.
Enter a heading, such as "Quick Links" or "Explore."
Click Select menu to choose the menu you want to display.
Click Save to apply changes.
4. Footer Sections: Brand Information
Steps:
Locate the Brand information block in the Footer section.
If it’s not present, click Add block and select Brand information.
This block will display your brand’s information, which can be edited in Theme settings.
Enable Show social media icons if you wish to display links to your social profiles.
Click Save to apply changes.
